Energy: Starting at the very beginning

Get more sleep: If your body is well-rested you are bound to be more productive, increase your performance, and boost your productivity

  • Organize your desk: It saves time and reduces worry
  • Delegate: You should only dedicate your time and energy to things that are high on your priority list
  • Stay hydrated: Water has been noted to help improve our focus and prevent us from feeling drained and fatigued

The Pomodoro Technique

It offers 25-minute working stints and 5-minute breaks after

  • Decide what to do and how long to spend on the task
  • Set a timer for the task to be done and work on it
  • End work when the timer rings and take a short break

Reconciling your Progress With Patience and Acceptance

Although we aim for perfection in our plans, true perfection is impossible and at the end of the day, you must reconcile yourself with this fact.

  • Don’t try to squeeze all of your remaining tasks into one final hour, instead allow your time for planning and practice to become a habit, stop when it’s time to stop and take your Rest.

Time Management Techniques

82% of people don’t have a time management system. They just use a list, their email or nothing at all

  • 18% have a system, and of the remaining 18% 18% use the Eisenhower matrix
  • This is the most successful time management technique

Time audits

At the end of each month, look at everything you have been doing, see how they have influenced your objectives, what you need to change and what stays the same.

  • Where did you spend the most time?
  • What unanticipated events affected your plans? Did you stick to the time limits? Was your planning overall effective?

Eisenhower Priority Matrix

The Eisenhower matrix is a method that utilizes the principles of importance and urgency to organize your priorities and workload

  • It is a way for you to rank your priorities in terms of what you want to do and how important they are
  • Important/Urgent: These tasks get an end date and are done personally, e.g. relationships, planning, and recreation.
  • Unimportant/Not Urgent
  • These tasks are delegated or dropped
  • Identify your priorities with the Eisenhower matrix to ensure that you give it your optimum focus
