In order to have a heart that is connected to Allah, we need to get to know Him first
- Through the Qur’an
- Spend time learning and reflecting on His Names
- Know that He is Al-Khaliq, The One who created us and anything we may desire
- As-Sami’, The Ones who hears every single one of our supplications
- Al-Qadir, the One who is able to do anything, no matter how impossible it might seem
Surround yourself with people that remind you of Allah
Quality is more important than quantity when it comes to the friends you choose to surround yourself with
- It’s completely normal for us to go through phases where our faith goes up and down, but if we keep good company and don’t isolate ourselves, we can prevent our faith from plummeting to the ground
Firmly hope for His Mercy
Be optimistic that Allah will accept your repentance.
- Repentance is a constant process, so it might take a couple of attempts to fully get back on track. But don’t be embarrassed to turn back to Him, no matter the magnitude of the sin, and never lose hope in His infinite mercy.
